This authentic vegetarian Chinese vegetable soup is a light clear soup with a simple onion broth. Tender cabbage and scallions are added at the end. While soup is simmering, prepare tofu. Remove excess water and slice tofu into three large slabs.

Steps to make Chinese stuffed tofu soup:
  1. Mix mince pork, prawn, shiitake, corn flour, shallot and salt together with some filling from the tofu. This will make the stuffing easier, look puffier and it helps the meat stay inside the tofu while cooking it.
  2. Placed the mix of the meat in the tofu with spoon carefully withoit breaking the tofu.
  3. Bring water to boil. Add the stuffed tofu, fish balls and mushroom, add chicken powder and salt. Serve with rice and chilli sauce.
  4. Ready to serve and ENJOY!

While soup is simmering, prepare tofu. Remove excess water and slice tofu into three large slabs. Fry in oil until both sides are browned. Hakka style stuffed tofu is made with a soft tofu stuffed with ground pork, salted fish, chopped ginger, scallion and lots of other spices.
