Steps to make braised tofu:
  1. . Remove tofu from package and cut into 6 equal slices
  2. Beat egg and 1 Tbsp cornstarch ( you can add pinch of salt and pepper if you wish )
  3. preheat the non stick pan
  4. dip each tofu slices into the egg mixtures and slowly arrange well in the medium heated pan
  5. dry fry till brown on both sides
  6. mix the sauce mixtures and add to the tofu sprinkles with the green onions
  7. Ready to serve and ENJOY!

Chinese braised tofu is a really easy dish using common Chinese pantry ingredients, yet packed with big flavors. This simple braised tofu is one of my trusted recipes that I make again and again.
