- Make ready Processed tofu (danyar awara)
- Prepare Oil for frying
- Get Scotch bonnet
- Prepare Onion
- Make ready Tomato paste
- Prepare Ginger n garlic paste
- Take Seasoning
- Make ready Pinch salt
- Make ready Spices (curry +black pepper powder)
Instructions to make Peppered Tofu:
- Cut tofu into medium cubes.
- Mixed little water with salt n seasoning cube, marinate tofu with d salt mixture for 10min then deep fry in hot oil, remove when golden brown and set aside.
- Grate ur Scotch bonnet, and slice ur onions.
- Put little oil in a pan and heat for few second, add onion n ginger n garlic paste, stir fry until translucent, add d blended scotch bonnet continue to fry for 4min, then add ur tomato paste n stir, add seasoning cube n spice.
- Stir and add water to form a thick soup cover d pot for 3min then open n add ur fried tofu, stir fry until the pepper stick to d tofu n d water dries up.
- Ur peppered tofu is ready, garnish with cocumber, carrot n cabbage if u like.
- Can be eaten alone or garnish with other dishes like white rice, jolof rice etc
- Ready to serve and ENJOY!
