- For Dumpling Wrappers: For Deep pink Colour: Mix in together flour, salt to taste, beetroot extract, and mix until you have a shaggy dough. Knead for 4-5 minutes until smooth. Place dough in a bowl and cover with damp cloth. Allow dough to rest for 15 min.
- For Light Pink: Mix in together flour, salt to taste, beetroot extract of 2 tablespoons, water and mix until you have a shaggy dough. Knead for 4-5 minutes until smooth. Place dough in a bowl and cover with damp cloth. Allow dough to rest for 15 min.
- Take the dough out of the bowl and knead it again a few times. shape the dough into a ball. Place the dough into the bowl, cover it, and let it rest again for at least 30 minutes. Take the dough out of the bowl. Take each piece of dough and roll it out and form small disc shaped. And keep aside.

- Chilli oil: In a pan add in oil, star anise, cinnamon, peppercorn and bring to a boil for a min, so that the flavors are infused. transfer this oil to a container of red chilli flakes and add in salt.Give a nice stir and let it sit for an hour.
